Prof. Henry Chung, Hong Kong State University, has also participated via Skype, and given a presentation in connection to his work package.
The event lasted from 9am to 4pm, and has been split in two parts: the common one, with plenary presentations from all the four work packages, and the thematic one, where members of each work packages have been sitting together to discuss on more specific actions. After the day, there has been a steering committee meeting, where the project leader prof. Frede Blaabjerg has been presenting the status and next steps of the project.
“It has been a very successful day”, comments prof. Francesco Iannuzzo, APETT member and work package leader, “with a lot of novelties from the field and interesting discussions. Worth to mention, the amazing efforts done in WP2 about very high integration of GaN-based power converters, WP3 on system-level mission profile based reliability prediction, WP4 on progresses in new approaches to accelerated life time tests, and WP5 in terms of development of an impressing software tool with outstanding characteristics of configurability and modularity. We look forward to going even deeper in the big challenges in power integration and reliability, that we have in front of us.”
